Although I qualified and started my journey as a Holistic Therapist in 2010, it's really been an area of interest for me since I was a wee one. Whether it was mixing witches potions of flowers, herbs and water with childhood friends, or an instinct for the healing power of touch, with attempts to "heal" fallen garden birds or bumblebees, and massaging my Dad's achy shoulders, before I knew what the massage even was!

I mostly work on a mobile basis, coming to see clients from the comfort of their own homes. Working this way has many benefits, not least the convenience for clients of being at home, working around busy work and home lives, and being able to stay cosy and continuing to rest a while after treatment, helping getting the best benefit from our work together. It really is lovely not having to rush back out into the 'real world' afterwards!!

As well as treating clients from their homes, I have also worked in a variety of environment from multdisciplinary clinics and yoga centres, to on-site corporate work in businesses of all sizes, as well as health events, fundraisers like the Edinburgh Moonwalk, Edinburgh Marathon and as part of the Scottish Government's healthy living initiative, 'Healthy T' at T in the Park music festival for 5 years. In 2011, I started volunteering at the Wester Hailes Health Agency, promoting health and well being in the local area, working alongside other health professionals. The following year, I started working with sister organisation the 'Westerhaven', a Cancer support centre, providing treatments to people living with cancer.

I am thrilled to now be part of the Portobello Natural Health clinic, based in Tribe Porty. It's a fabulous light and bright clinic within Edinburgh's seaside, Portobello.

Outside of work, I love being in nature and hiking and camping is my favourite pass time. I love exploring new places and have recently taken up sea dooking, whether on trips to the Highlands and Islands, or from closer to my home in Portobello.
